Say “Hello” to your Team

Andrew Cassidy,MSB, MLA

Administrator

I have been with UCP of Maine and the Elizabeth Levinson Center since November 2013. It is a fantastic and rewarding environment and a fabulous team to be part of. Our staff creates a wonderful home for our residents making it a very special place to work.

Jeanne Riese, M.Ed.

QIDP/Program Manager

Following six years in the Special Education field, I joined the ELC team in 2014. We have a wonderful, interdisciplinary team of medical, social work, nutrition and habilitation professionals providing 24 hour a day therapeutic interventions and care. Our goal is to treat the whole person, giving each resident the opportunity to fulfill his or her potential for a happy, meaningful life. My role within the team is to create programming for our residents that will help them build life skills and achieve increased independence. I like to think of myself as “the teacher” at ELC. In reality, our residents are the teachers, reminding us daily what’s really important in life and how to make the most of it!.

Kim Dionne, RN, BSN

Director of Nursing

I have been a registered nurse for 17 years, graduating from Husson College in 1999. My nursing experience has been acute cardiac care nursing, medical-surgical nursing, and geriatric long term care. I have been in nursing management since 2007. When not working I enjoy time with my family, fiancé, 3 children, 2 dogs and love music and being outside.

I knew the day I walked into ELC for my interview that it was a place I would be proud to work at, from the shine on the floors to the home like atmosphere and friendly staff. I got the job and started 11/3/2014 and as I got to know the residents and their families I fell even more in love with everything ELC was about. I wake up every morning looking forward to coming to work, to be part of providing our residents with the highest quality of life full of choices, independence and enrichment. The residents of ELC have enriched my life as well and continue to on a daily basis. I cannot imagine my life without ELC , its employees and residents as part of it.

Facilities Manager

Hello everyone, I have been a part of ELC since I was a teenager. My mother was a CNA here, and we were actively part of the residents lives. I graduated from Hermon High School, and then went on to earn my journeyman electrical license through IBEW local 567 where I worked for 10 years. I then started a family and worked in in the electrical field for about 8 more years until I found my second family here again at ELC. I took on the role of Facility manager in 2010. This has been by far the most rewarding position to be able to know that I can make a difference in our residents lives, giving them a safe clean environment to live in and call home.

Carol is an Emergency Medical Technician and Fire Fighter for Dixmont Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department. Carol has lived in Dixmont with her husband, Alan, since moving here from Connecticut in 1965.

Annette Cohen

L.P.N./C.N.A. Coordinator

I grew up in Maine and went to nursing school in Lewiston. After working in various nursing areas for many years, I started at Elizabeth Levinson Center almost 24 years ago, and can honestly say it has been the most rewarding and fulfilling experience. I worked the first 11 years in the nursing department as a floor nurse, and have been the C.N.A. Coordinator for the past 13 years. Our residents get exceptional care from our C.N.A.s, and I always say the best C.N.A.s work at ELC.
