Shared Living

UCP of Maine’s Shared Living program is an extension to our Adult Residential Services. Shared Living is for adults age 18+ living with an intellectual and/or developmental need, who are not able to live independently and would benefit living in a family-type home setting, and is eligible for MaineCare Services under the Home and Community Waiver. In Shared Living, providers must be a certified Direct Support Professional (DSP) and comply with the Shared Living Handbook as published by the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS). The client becomes part of the family with a consistent, stable environment where they can thrive and grow with community inclusion.

At this time we are seeking both individuals who qualify for this program and providers in the Great Bangor Area who are interested in becoming a provider. For more information on becoming a provider click here!
